We run the warehouse from the ERP stock module and have hit a wall on locations, replenishment and scanning.
The ERP keeps finance, purchasing and master data. The WMS takes warehouse execution and reports receipts, mutations and dispatches back — no rip-and-replace.
Every webshop, carrier, marketplace and ERP needs its own connector, and each one breaks on the supplier's next update.
Versioned message definitions, monitoring and retry across every connection, so a failed message is visible and replayable instead of discovered later by a customer.
Two systems disagree about the same record and nobody agreed up front which one wins.
One owner per record, decided before the build: ERP for articles and pricing, WMS for physical stock and locations, OMS for the order lifecycle. Everyone else subscribes.
Orders arrive from a webshop, two marketplaces and EDI, and each channel is handled differently by hand.
