    BizBloqs × Business Central

ONE MICROSOFT STACK, END TO END

Business Central runs your finance, sales and purchasing in the Microsoft cloud. BizBloqs is built on Microsoft technology too, which is why the two connect over standard web services instead of a bespoke bridge — an authorisation in your own tenant, not a development project.

Business Central knows what you should have. BizBloqs knows where it is, who picked it and when it left the dock, and writes that back the moment it happens.

    IS THIS YOU?

Who this Business Central integration is for

Business Central knows what you should have in stock. It does not know which location it sits in, who picked it, or whether the count was right.

    • You run Business Central and have no intention of replacing it — the warehouse has to work alongside it.
    • Your warehouse still works from printed lists or the item card inside the ERP.
    • You want to stay inside the Microsoft stack rather than bolt on a system that lives outside it.

    WHAT IS BUSINESS CENTRAL?

    MICROSOFT'S ERP FOR GROWING COMPANIES

Dynamics 365 Business Central is Microsoft's ERP for small and mid-market companies: financials, sales, purchasing, projects and light manufacturing in one cloud application, tied into Microsoft 365 and Power BI.

What it is not is a warehouse execution system. Business Central can tell you a customer ordered twelve pieces; it cannot tell an operator which pallet to walk to, verify the barcode in their hand, or stop the wrong batch from leaving the building.

AUTHORISED IN A DAY, NOT BUILT IN A QUARTER

Because both systems are configuration-driven, the integration is a data agreement rather than code. BizBloqs is registered in your Microsoft Entra ID tenant, granted the permissions it needs and validated against a test company.

Business Central keeps updating on Microsoft's cadence and the interface keeps working, because it runs on the published API pages rather than on a copy of your database.

WHAT CHANGES ONCE BUSINESS CENTRAL AND BIZBLOQS ARE CONNECTED

The connection is a data agreement, not a development project. Orders, receipts, stock corrections and shipping confirmations move between Business Central and BizBloqs as they happen.

Orders reach the floor the moment they are released

A sales order released in Business Central appears in BizBloqs within seconds as pick work, with the right priority and carrier already attached — no export, no re-keying, no waiting for the nightly run.

Scanned picking against the Business Central order line

Operators pick on a handheld with barcode verification, in batch, wave or zone. Every scan is written back against the original Business Central order line, so the delivery in the ERP reflects what physically left the building.

Receipts posted while the truck is still at the dock

Goods are received and put away against the open purchase order, and the receipt is posted back to Business Central immediately, so the purchase invoice can be matched the same day instead of at month end.

Stock counted without closing the warehouse

Cycle counting runs continuously in BizBloqs and posts corrections with reason codes into Business Central, which replaces the annual stock take that costs you a weekend of production.

Multi-warehouse and multi-company on one platform

Several warehouses, several companies in the same environment, one operational standard. Each company keeps its own Business Central connection while the floor works the same way everywhere.

Microsoft-native, so IT does not inherit a stranger

Both systems sit on Microsoft technology and authenticate through Entra ID, so access, offboarding and audit follow the identity policy your IT team already runs.

This is what your Business Central setup looks like from day one

See it on your own order flow. Thirty minutes, screen share, no slide deck — or tell us where it hurts today and we will tell you honestly whether we can fix it.

    ERP integration

How the Business Central integration works

Business Central is a Microsoft cloud ERP, and BizBloqs is built on Microsoft technology, so the connection is made directly over the Business Central web services — no middleware server and nothing to install in your own network. Customers running Business Central on-premise connect through the same web services exposed by their service tier.

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central — cloud API

OAuth 2.0 via Microsoft Entra ID + Business Central REST/OData web services

BizBloqs is registered as an application in your Microsoft Entra ID tenant and authorised once with the permissions it needs. From then on the connection uses OAuth 2.0 tokens — no username or password is shared, and you can revoke access yourself at any time. Traffic runs over the standard REST/OData v4 API pages, so the exchange keeps working through Business Central's own update cadence. The connection is bound to a company within the environment, so a group with several companies gets one connection per company.

    What you need

    • An active Business Central environment (cloud or on-premise with web services enabled)
    • An administrator who can register and consent to the BizBloqs application in Microsoft Entra ID
    • The environment and company name(s) that BizBloqs should synchronise
    • Agreement on which system is leading for item master data

    Which messages are exchanged

This is the standard interface between an ERP and a WMS, exchanged with Business Central as the events happen. Empty cells mean that direction is not part of the standard integration.

Rows marked optional depend on the modules in your Business Central licence and on how your administration is set up. Production, assembly and their time registration require the matching modules.

This is our standard integration. An empty field means that message is not exchanged in that direction by default. Integrations can be modified or extended customer-specific through workflows.

    How we roll it out

    1. 1. Discovery

We walk through your Business Central administration and agree which objects are in scope and which system is leading per object.

    2. 2. Connection

The technical connection to Business Central is set up and validated against a test administration. Access is scoped to the objects in the agreed message set.

    3. 3. Mapping

Item codes, units, warehouses, locations and reason codes are mapped. Deviations between the ERP and the physical warehouse surface here, not on go-live day.

    4. 4. Test round

We run a full cycle on a test administration: purchase order in, receipt back, sales order in, delivery back, count and correction. Every message is checked in both systems.

    5. 5. Go-live

Cut over on the live administration with monitored message queues. Failed messages are visible and can be replayed — nothing disappears silently.

Does your process fit this message set?

This is our standard Business Central integration. If you need messages that are not in the table, send us your list — we tailor integrations per customer through workflows and will tell you upfront what is standard and what is custom.

    Integration FAQ

Do we need an AL extension or middleware for Business Central?

No. The standard integration runs on the published REST/OData web services with an Entra ID application registration. Where a customer has heavily customised pages, we agree the extra web services to publish rather than installing middleware.

Does this work for on-premise Business Central and older NAV versions?

Business Central on-premise connects over the same web services, published from your own service tier. Older Dynamics NAV versions are assessed case by case — tell us your version and we will say honestly whether the standard route applies.

Can we connect several companies in one environment?

Yes. A connection is bound to a company, so a group running several companies gets a connection per company, all feeding the same warehouse operation.

Is stock in Business Central updated in real time?

Stock in the ERP is updated on every confirmed warehouse action — receipt, delivery, count, correction. The operational truth lives in the WMS, where stock is tracked per location, batch and serial; Business Central holds the financial and administrative position.

Which system is leading for item master data?

Business Central. Items, barcodes, units and weights are created and maintained in the ERP and downloaded into BizBloqs. Warehouse-specific attributes, such as pick location or storage class, are maintained in BizBloqs.

What happens if the connection drops?

Messages are queued and replayed. Warehouse work continues in BizBloqs during an ERP or network outage; the queue drains once the connection is restored, and failed messages stay visible instead of disappearing silently.

Can we change the standard message set?

Yes. The table above is our standard integration. Extra messages, different field mappings or customer-specific rules are handled through workflows in BizBloqs — we tell you upfront what is standard and what is custom work.

How long does a Business Central implementation take?

The connection itself is a matter of days. The realistic timeline is set by mapping and testing, and by how clean your item master and location structure already are.
