How the Sage 50 integration works

BizBloqs connects to Sage 50. Sage is a family of products rather than a single platform, and each edition has its own data model, so we deliberately scope this integration on Sage 50 instead of claiming a generic 'Sage' connector.

Sage 50 — API-based exchange

Sage 50 API against the company data set, service account authenticated

BizBloqs exchanges documents with the Sage 50 company data set through the Sage API layer. The connection runs on a dedicated service account so the traffic is traceable and can be revoked without touching a named user. Where a Sage 50 installation is hosted on-premise, the exchange runs from within your network over an outbound HTTPS connection — no inbound port needs to be opened.

A clear owner for item master data and warehouse codes

Which messages are exchanged

Sage 50 covers the core logistic message set. Manufacturing and assembly messages depend on whether you run production or assembly inside Sage at all.

Webshop sales orders and warehouse-initiated purchase orders are only in scope when you actually create those documents outside Sage.

This is our standard integration. An empty field means that message is not exchanged in that direction by default. Integrations can be modified or extended customer-specific through workflows.

How we roll it out

1. Discovery
We confirm the Sage 50 edition, the company data set in scope and which documents are actually used day to day.
2. Connection
The service account is created, API access is enabled and we validate that BizBloqs can read and write the required record types.
3. Mapping
Item codes, units, warehouse and location codes and stock reason codes are mapped between Sage and BizBloqs.
4. Test round
A full cycle is run on a copy data set: purchase order to receipt, sales order to delivery, count and correction posted back.
5. Go-live
Cut over on the live company with monitored queues and replay on failure.

Integration FAQ

Which Sage products does BizBloqs connect to?

Sage 50. Other Sage editions run on different data models and APIs, and we do not present them as supported out of the box.

Do we need to open a port in our firewall?

No. The exchange uses an outbound HTTPS connection from your side. No inbound ports are required.

Does the integration handle stock valuation?

No. Valuation stays in Sage. BizBloqs supplies the movements — receipts, deliveries, counts and corrections — that Sage values.

Can we keep creating orders in Sage?

Yes. Sage stays the place where purchase and sales orders are created. BizBloqs downloads them, executes them in the warehouse and posts the result back.

What about webshop orders that never touch Sage?

Those can be uploaded into Sage from BizBloqs so the administration stays complete, or kept out of Sage entirely — it is a deliberate choice made during discovery.

How are stock differences handled?

Counts and corrections are posted to Sage with a reason code, so a difference is always traceable to a warehouse event rather than appearing as an unexplained adjustment.

Is this a certified Sage add-on?

The integration is built and maintained by BizBloqs against the Sage 50 API. Ask us for the current status of any marketplace listing before you rely on it commercially.
