WHAT CHANGES ONCE VPLAN AND BIZBLOQS ARE CONNECTED

Jobs, material reservations, issues and progress move between vPlan and BizBloqs as the plan is executed.

Materials reserved per job

Each planned job reserves its materials, so two jobs cannot silently plan the same parts.

Kits issued by scan

Kits are picked and issued to the job by scan, which is where component-level traceability actually begins.

Shortages visible before planning

A shortage is visible while the job is still being planned, when moving it costs nothing.

Actual start and completion back

Start and completion are reported from the floor and reflected on the board without anyone walking over to ask.

Finished goods received to stock

Finished goods are received back into stock at the right location, immediately available for the order waiting on them.

Backflush or explicit consumption

Consumption can be backflushed against the bill of materials or booked explicitly per component, depending on how precise your traceability needs to be.

How the vPlan integration works

vPlan is the visual planning board that assembly, production and service teams actually use. BizBloqs makes sure the board is planning against materials that exist and gets told, automatically, when a job is really finished.

REST API exchange of cards, resources and progress

Planned jobs come down from vPlan as work in BizBloqs, with their sequence and planned dates. The warehouse issues and scans the required materials against the job, so a shortage surfaces before the team walks to the bench rather than after. Actual start, completion and hours flow back to the board, which means the planner is looking at reality instead of at what was supposed to happen this morning.

What you need

An active vPlan environment with your boards and resources
An API key from your vPlan account
Agreement on what a card represents: a job, an order or an operation
Material lists available per job, from the ERP or from BizBloqs

The technical connection is established on a test environment first, so you can see real data moving before anything touches your live operation.
3. Mapping and testing
Fields, codes and exceptions are mapped and tested with your own orders — including the ones that normally go wrong.
4. Go live
We go live with your team on the floor, monitor the first days closely and hand over a connection your people can read themselves.

Integration FAQ

Does the planner have to work in two systems?

No. Planning stays in vPlan; the shop floor works in BizBloqs on a scanner, and the board updates itself from what they scan.

Can we see material shortages on the board?

Yes. Availability per job is sent back, so a card that cannot be executed is visible before it is scheduled rather than at the bench.

What happens if the vPlan connection drops?

Messages are queued and replayed. Warehouse work continues in BizBloqs during an outage; the queue drains once the connection is restored, and failed messages stay visible instead of disappearing silently.

Can we change the standard message set?

The table above is our standard integration with vPlan. Extra messages, different field mappings or customer-specific rules are handled through workflows in BizBloqs — we tell you upfront what is standard and what is custom work.

How long does connecting vPlan take?

The connection itself is a matter of days. The realistic timeline is set by mapping and testing, and by how clean your product data and process agreements already are.
