OMS
Order Management System
An Order Management System (OMS) is software that captures, validates, allocates, and routes customer orders across every sales channel — webshop, marketplace, EDI, B2B portal, retail — and every fulfilment location. It gives a single real-time view of order status and inventory availability, applies allocation rules (nearest warehouse, fastest carrier, lowest cost), and hands the order to the WMS or carrier that will actually fulfil it.
The OMS is the layer between demand (sales channels) and supply (warehouses, 3PLs, drop-ship suppliers). It handles split shipments, backorders, cancellations, returns, and cross-channel promises like buy-online-pick-up-in-store.
Without an OMS, operators rely on manual channel-by-channel processing, which breaks down as order volume and channel count grow.
How BizBloqs relates
BizBloqs OMS unifies all sales channels into one cockpit, applies rules-based allocation across warehouses, and hands orders to BizBloqs WMS or any connected fulfilment partner — with real-time status back to every channel.
