Every bin and every part is scanned on the pick, so a variant that differs by five millimetres or one coating grade cannot be substituted by eye. The check happens inside the pick rather than as a separate inspection step, which is why accuracy rises without the pick rate falling.
Bin locations are reslotted on real pick frequency, so the parts that move every day sit within a few steps of the packing bench and the long tail sits further out. Multi-order batch picking then turns one walk into many orders instead of one.
Counting is done as cycle counts on the bins that matter most, driven by movement and value, so the annual stocktake stops being a shutdown and stock accuracy is maintained continuously.
