Microsoft Dynamics-based 3PL suite vs. ERP-agnostic BPaaS.
How BizBloqs compares to Boltrics (3PL Dynamics)
Boltrics builds 3PL Dynamics, a WMS/TMS/FMS suite on top of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. BizBloqs is an ERP-agnostic BPaaS platform that connects to Business Central and many other ERPs without requiring you to standardize on Dynamics. Both are credible choices for a logistics service provider in the Benelux; the decision usually comes down to one question — do you want your warehouse system and your finance system to be the same product, or two products that talk to each other.
Best fit for BizBloqs
Operators who want to keep — or switch — their ERP independently of their WMS and OMS, who run mixed B2B and ecommerce flows, and who value workflow-first configuration their own key users can maintain.
Best fit for Boltrics
3PLs that have committed to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central as their core ERP and want a tightly coupled 3PL suite covering warehousing, transport and forwarding in a single Dynamics footprint.
Side-by-side comparison

Where the two products come from, and why that still shows
Boltrics grew up inside the Microsoft channel. The product, 3PL Dynamics, is built as an extension of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, and the company has spent years deepening what a logistics service provider can do inside that stack — warehousing, transport, forwarding and the financial administration of contract logistics all sitting in the same application. For a 3PL whose finance team already lives in Business Central, that single-ledger story is genuinely attractive, and it is the honest reason many Dutch logistics providers shortlist Boltrics first.
BizBloqs started from the opposite premise. The platform was designed as Business Process as a Service, sitting deliberately outside the ERP, on the assumption that an operator's warehouse execution should not be hostage to whichever finance package they happen to run this decade. That means BizBloqs has to be good at integration by construction rather than by choice, and it means the warehouse and order layer can be replaced, extended or upgraded without an ERP project attached to it. Neither origin is better in the abstract; they simply produce different consequences three years in.
The ERP question: coupled to Dynamics or free to choose
This is the decision underneath all the others. With Boltrics, the warehouse system and the ERP are the same platform, which removes an interface but adds a dependency: your logistics roadmap becomes a Business Central roadmap. If your finance organisation is committed to Microsoft for the next five years, that dependency costs you nothing and buys you a simpler landscape. If it is not, or if a parent company might mandate a different ERP after an acquisition, you have coupled two decisions that did not have to be coupled.
BizBloqs connects to Business Central like any other ERP, alongside Exact, AFAS, SAP Business One, NetSuite, King, Uniconta and others. The interface exists, and it has to be maintained, but the warehouse process survives an ERP migration untouched. For operators who have already changed ERP once — or who serve clients on several different ERPs — that independence is usually worth more than the saved interface. It is also what makes a mixed landscape workable: two sites on different finance systems can still run the same warehouse process.
Multi-client 3PL depth compared
Both platforms handle the fundamentals a logistics service provider cannot operate without: stock ownership separated per client, configurable processes per contract, activity captured for billing, and reporting partitioned so each client sees only their own numbers. Boltrics has a long track record here and its 3PL feature set is mature, particularly where warehousing meets transport and forwarding on the same shipment. If your contracts routinely combine storage, handling and your own trucks, that combined scope is a real advantage worth testing.
BizBloqs approaches multi-client from the workflow side. Ownership, batch rules, service levels and billing events are configuration on the process rather than code, so a new contract with unusual requirements does not queue behind a development cycle. The distinction that matters in practice is how quickly you can onboard a client whose flow does not look like your existing ones — measure that on your own hardest contract during evaluation, not on the standard demo scenario, because both vendors will look equally capable on the standard scenario.
Order management: a suite module or a native layer
BizBloqs ships order management as a first-class part of the platform rather than as a companion product. Orders arrive from webshops, marketplaces, EDI and ERP into one pool, availability can be published differently per channel, and allocation, splitting and routing happen before the work reaches the floor. For an operator whose clients sell across Bol, Amazon, Shopify and their own trade portal simultaneously, that layer is often the difference between a warehouse that is busy and a warehouse that is profitable.
Boltrics handles order flow well within the contract-logistics model it was designed for, with the order living in the same application as the financial administration. Where it is worth being careful is the pure ecommerce fan-out — many channels, many availability rules, high cancellation and return rates. That is not a weakness of the product so much as a difference in centre of gravity, and it is exactly the scenario to put in front of both vendors in a proof of concept.
Implementation, time-to-value and who does the configuring
A BizBloqs implementation typically runs in weeks because it starts from a standard workflow and configures the deviations, and because the configuration is done by business key users with support rather than by developers. Data quality — article codes, barcodes, dimensions, packaging units, location labels — remains the critical path in every project regardless of vendor, and no platform removes that work. What changes is what happens after go-live: the operator who configured the process can change it when a client changes their requirements.
A Boltrics timeline is honestly harder to state as a single number, because it depends on the size of the Dynamics footprint being implemented alongside it. Adding 3PL Dynamics to a live, healthy Business Central environment is a different project from implementing both at once. If you are doing both, budget accordingly and plan the go-live around the finance calendar as well as the warehouse calendar — that constraint does not exist when the warehouse platform is separate from the ledger.
Cost of ownership over five years
Neither vendor publishes list pricing, so treat any figure quoted in a comparison article — including this one, which quotes none — as unverified. What you can do is compare structure rather than price. The Boltrics model carries Business Central licensing underneath it, and the two move together; the BizBloqs model is a platform subscription that sits next to whatever ERP licensing you already pay. Which is cheaper depends entirely on whether you would be paying for that ERP anyway.
The costs that actually decide the five-year total are rarely on the quote: the effort to onboard each new client, the developer time needed for a non-standard contract, the interface maintenance when a marketplace changes its API, and the size of the project when the ERP has a major release. Ask both vendors to price the same three scenarios — a new client onboarding, a new sales channel, and an ERP version upgrade — and compare those numbers instead of the licence line.
Which one belongs on your shortlist
Shortlist Boltrics if Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is already your core ERP and you are not planning to move, if your contracts combine warehousing with your own transport and forwarding, and if a single ledger across logistics and finance is worth accepting a shared roadmap for. That is a coherent, defensible architecture and plenty of successful logistics providers run it.
Shortlist BizBloqs if you want warehouse and order execution to be independent of your finance system, if you run mixed B2B wholesale and multi-channel ecommerce flows, if you need to onboard clients quickly without a development queue, or if you simply want to be live this quarter. The most useful next step in either direction is the same: take your single hardest client flow and ask both vendors to run it end to end in their own system while you watch.
The honest verdict
Boltrics is a strong fit if you are all-in on Microsoft Dynamics and want warehousing, transport and finance in one ledger. BizBloqs is the better fit if you want to keep ERP choice open, cover both WMS and OMS from one platform, and be live in weeks rather than after an ERP programme.
