Questions people ask
What is the best WMS for a small or mid-sized manufacturer?
One that connects to the existing ERP, runs scan-driven receiving, putaway and picking on a single site, and can be reconfigured without development work when the production or shipping process changes.
Do I need a WMS if my ERP already handles stock?
An ERP records stock in financial terms; a WMS directs and confirms the physical work behind it — location-level positions, scan confirmation, directed picking. Operations with real warehouse volume normally run both, with the WMS feeding the ERP.
What is the difference between a WMS and an OMS?
A WMS directs the work inside one warehouse. An OMS sits above the warehouses and decides which order is fulfilled from which site and channel, then hands that decision to the WMS to execute.
How long does a WMS implementation take?
It depends on the model. A configured platform on one site with standard integrations goes live in weeks; a licensed enterprise suite with custom development across multiple entities is measured in quarters or years.
When is an enterprise WMS the better choice over BizBloqs?
